Zelenskyy pleads for help in impassioned speech to Congress

Ukrainian President Zelensky spoke to Congress Wednesday – repeating his appeal for a no fly zone over Ukraine. The White House hours later announcing another $800 million dollars in military aid instead.

Both Democrats and Republicans seemed moved by Zelensky’s actions.

Senator John Hoeven says the U.S. needs to provide the aide Zelensky requested.

U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer says our values and love of freedom are the things that should stand out.  “We must let the requests of President Zelensky be more important to us than the reactions of President Putin. We as a nation have for too long allowed the bully to dictate the terms of our engagement. That should not be the case.”

Congressman Kelly Armstrong added the U.S needs to step up aid – but cautiously.
