A Fargo woman faces numerous charges after driving through a Grand Forks construction zone last night (Monday).

Grand Forks police say just before 11:30 p.m. an officer spotted a small passenger car in a closed zone on the 200 block of North 4th Street – striking one of the road signs.  The GFPD says the driver – identified as 21-year old Karley Litchy – refused to pull over when an officer attempted to perform a traffic stop.

After a short pursuit at low to moderate speeds police used a “PIT” maneuver to bring the suspect vehicle to a halt on the 500 block of North 3rd Street.

Authorities say Litchy was taken into custody and transported to the correctional center where she was charged with DUI…fleeing…driving under suspension…possession of marijuana…paraphernalia and open container.

No one was injured during the incident.
