Five consulting firms have responded to the Park District’s RFP to study a proposed indoor sports and indoor aquatics facility in Grand Forks.
A selection committee of the Park District started going over the various proposals this week. The price-tag ranges from $56,000 to $147,000 dollars.
As written in the RFP requests information on a 300,000 square foot facility with turf large enough for soccer…football…and lacrosse competitions. It could also include a possible running track with basketball/volleyball courts.
On the aquatics side the potential facility would include an eight lane – 50 meter – swimming and diving pool as well as a 25 meter lap pool. Location and construction could also be part of the analysis.
The committee will further discuss the proposals at a meeting next week. The goal is to interview and recommend a consulting firm in March. That selection would be forwarded to the Park Board in April.
