NCTC responds to increasing COVID-19 activity

By Doug Barrett Feb 1, 2022 | 7:54 AM

NCTC is making a shift in the way it delivers classroom learning.

Due to escalating case counts of COVID-19 Northland is moving to a “lay low” period starting this week. The mitigation measure is in response to COVID levels rising above numbers seen last fall.

The slowdown includes moving some lecture-based classes to a virtual delivery.  While campuses are open some services will be limited as many staff shift to a telework schedule.  Access to facilities for outside organizations to host events will be suspended.

During the last week of January Polk County Health identified 473 new lab confirmed cases of COVID-19

The changes will be in effect until February 18th.
