
The Grand Forks Park District is ready to launch a study on the feasibility of an indoor turf and aquatics facility. The report is designed to identify costs… features…and the level of demand. The analysis is not intended to identify a location for such a center.
The Park Board will partner with the city on the costs of the RFP. The RFP is expected to be released by the end of the month. The board hopes to select a consulting firm by March. The goal is to have a completed report by the summer of 2022.
Conversations about an aquatics complex have involved officials with the park district…city…school district…and UND.

Meanwhile….The Grand Forks Park Board continues to look at the possible consolidation of additional outdoor skating rinks. As part of the plan an ice loop could be added next to the ICON Sports Center. No decisions are expected this skating season.
