
A search committee charged with finding a new president for North Dakota State University has narrowed a short list of candidates down to five finalists – including a couple of familiar names.
Dr. Hesham El-Rewini left UND in 2019 after eight years. He currently serves as Provost and Senior Vice President at Marymount University.
Mary Holz-Clause has been the chancellor at U of M – Crookston since 2017. Last year the U-of-M expanded her position to cover the campus in Morris (MN) as well.
Other finalists include David Cook a Vice-Chancellor at the University of Kansas….Debra Larson a Provost at California State University…and Michael Tidwell an immediate past President of the University of Texas.
The committee reviewed 47 candidates before selected the final five. On-campus interviews will be held between January 24th and February 3rd. The State Board of Higher education is expected to select a new leader for NDSU at its February 23rd meeting.
