By Doug Barrett Jan 13, 2022 | 7:54 AM

A fire caused significant damage to a home in north Grand Forks last night (Wednesday).

The Grand Forks Fire Department was notified of flames on the outside of the single-family home at 122 Conklin Avenue shortly after 9:00 p.m.  When crews arrived on the scene they gained access to the structure and encountered a large fire that had burned through portions of the main and second floors.

No one was home at the time – and there were no injuries to fire personnel.  The cause remains under investigation.

The fire department responded with five engines, one ladder truck, and one command vehicle staffed with twenty personnel.
