
Grand Forks fire fighters braved sub-zero temps as they battled a residential home fire early this morning (Wednesday).
The G-F-F-D responded to a call at 615 Cottonwood Street shortly before 2:00 a.m. When they arrived on scene flames were visible on the exterior of the three story structure. Crews were able to quickly knock the fire down before it extended further into the home. Fire personnel remained on the scene for three hours performing salvage and overhaul operations.
Residents were able to evacuate and there were no injuries. A damage estimate was not released. The cause is under investigation.
