More snow is falling in the Red River Valley

By Doug Barrett Dec 28, 2021 | 8:26 AM

A winter storm made life in North Dakota and Minnesota tough on Monday.

The storm closed Interstate 94 between Bismarck and Fargo and Interstate 29 from Grand Forks to the South Dakota border on Monday morning.  The entire interstate system in the state had reopened by 4 p.m.

Officially the National Weather Service office in Grand Forks measured 8.2 inches of new snow.

The event also forced the closure of college campuses…businesses…and some government agencies.

More snow is in the forecast today before dangerous wind chill values arrive on Wednesday.

Many roads across the state are reported to be snow covered.
