Federal charges are expected to be filed in connection with a drug bust in West Fargo earlier this month.
It was back on December 8th that Drug Enforcement Administration agents and the Cass County Drug Task Force received a tip that a drug courier was staying at a motel with a large supply of meth.
During the course of the investigation a search warrant was obtained for a room at the Rodway Motel in West Fargo. Authorities confiscated 9.5 pounds of methamphetamine.
The DEA investigation resulted in the arrest of 38-year old Maynor Calix-Lopez and 39-year old Alejandra Carrreno-Reyes – both from Los Angeles (CA).

The multiagency operation comprised of investigators from the DEA, Homeland Security Investigations, North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Fargo Police Department, West Fargo Police Department, Moorhead Police Department, Cass County Sheriff’s Office, and Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
