A small deck fire kept Grand Forks fire teams busy Wednesday night. Four engines were dispatched to 615 North 39th Street shortly before 10:00 p.m. for a fire on a third floor balcony. When crews arrived they found the deck smoldering and UND police officers using fire extinguishers to knock the majority of the flames down. Firefighters finished putting the fire out and cooling the deck area. Damage was listed as minimal.
