The road construction season in Grand Forks isn’t over just yet. Starting today (Monday) work crews will be repairing an expansion joint on the pedestrian walkway to the Columbia Road Overpass. The joint popped over the summer. The low bid on the project came in at just under $141,000 dollars.
The Columbia Road overpass was built in 1984 and expanded to four lanes in 1989. The pedestrian walkway will remain open during the repairs. Southbound traffic will be down to one lane starting next Monday (12/13). The project should be completed in early January.
