A Park Rapids (MN) man was killed in a two-vehicle accident Sunday evening in Beltrami County.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 20-year-old Colton Erickson was a passenger in a compact car driven by 19-year-old Zennah Erickson of Park Rapids.
In snowy and icy conditions, the driver lost control on Highway 71 south of Blackduck.
The car went into oncoming traffic and was struck by a pickup truck, killing Colton Erickson.
Zennah Erickson was transported to a Fargo hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The pickup driver, 50-year-old Daryl Lundberg of Blackduck, was not hurt.

A two vehicle crash in northwest Minnesota on Sunday has claimed the life of a 20-year old Park Rapids (MN) man.
The victim was a passenger in a car that was heading south on Highway 71 in Beltrami County. The Minnesota State Patrol says around 6:00 p.m. the driver lost control – the vehicle went sideways into oncoming traffic – and was struck by a pick-up.
The driver of the car was identified as a 19 year old female from Park Rapids who was transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo with non-life threatening injuries. The 50-year old pick-up driver was not injured.
The name of the victim has not been released.
