The Salvation Army in Grand Forks stages its biggest fundraising event of the year tomorrow (Tuesday) with Big Ring 2021.
First initiated by Leighton Broadcasting in 2004 the event has partnered with Valley Dairy since 2008. In addition to the traditional Red Kettles the event includes a silent auction and a cash match for every gallon of gas sold.
This year’s event features two locations: 4701 South Washington and the store near Washington and University Avenue.
Grand Forks Salvation Army Major Paul Ferguson says it will be a long day but it’s all worth it.
Last year’s event raised over $50,000 dollars.
The Big Ring runs from 6:00 a.m. until 7 p.m.
