Brandon (MN) officials remove ‘Let’s go’ above city signs

By Pat Sweeney Nov 3, 2021 | 5:24 PM

Officials in Brandon (MN) are not amused with whomever defaced the city’s “welcome” signs on the edge of town.

Authorities say the words “Let’s Go” were added to six signs, to read “Let’s Go Brandon” in the Douglas County community.

The term began after a reporter covering a recent NASCAR race in Florida thought some fans were yelling “Let’s Go Brandon.”  The fans were actually chanting an expletive directed at President Biden.

Douglas County’s Emergency Manager says the signs have been restored and were not damaged permanently.

The altered signs were discovered Monday.
