A female construction worker died late Friday afternoon after being struck by an asphalt truck in Cooperstown. The North Dakota Highway Patrol says it at happened at a road construction site on 15th Street SE around 5:00 p.m.
The NDHP says the driver of a 1988 Kenworth dump truck was backing up to pour asphalt on the roadway. The worker was assisting in backing up the dump truck when she was struck.
The 50 year old female from Odessa (MN) sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead on scene. The 63 year old truck driver was not injured. The crash is under investigation.
