Grand Forks police terminated a short pursuit after two motorcyclists reached speeds in excess of 69 mph down South 42nd Street on Wednesday. An officer attempted to make a routine traffic stop on the bikers shortly after 3:00 p.m. Authorities say both drivers took off – and the chase was terminated for safety reasons. A short time later police arrested a 17-year old juvenile. The search for the second suspect continues. There were no injuries.
