Teens receive awards from GFSO

By Doug Barrett Sep 23, 2021 | 8:52 AM

The Grand Forks County Sheriff’s office acknowledged four teens with “saved by the belt” awards on Wednesday.  The award is given to individuals who have been involved in motor vehicle crashes that would have likely resulted in injury if the occupants were not properly restrained.

In North Dakota not wearing a seat belt continues to be the number one contributing factor to motor vehicle deaths.  There have been 82 fatalities in 69 crashes around the state in 2021.
