
Former UND hockey player Travis Zajac is retiring after a 15-year pro career.
Zajac was traded from New Jersey to the New York Islanders last April.
He signed a one-day contract with New Jersey because he wanted to retire as a Devil. He will remain with the Devils in a player development and consulting role.
Zajac is 36. He scored 552 points in 1,037 career games.
The Winnipeg native played at UND from 2004 to 2006.
