It’s back to school today (Tuesday) for upwards of 1,900 students in East Grand Forks.
Returning students will be greeted with a Safe Learning Plan that includes recommended mask use in indoor settings. Superintendent Mike Kolness says they’ll start the school year suggesting face coverings but the plan is subject to change…quickly.
In addition the Safe Learning Plan spells out close contact guidelines for COVID-19. “There are quarantine guidelines in there. It would give students and staff exemptions to quarantine if they are vaccinated or are properly masked. Also if they have had COVID within the last 90 days.”
Through last week Polk County Public Health reported 88 active cases of COVID.
