UND, Bemidji St. to meet in Oct. 2 hockey exhibition

The athletic departments from North Dakota and Bemidji State announced on Tuesday a scheduling agreement for an exhibition contest between the two schools on Oct. 2 at 6:07 p.m. from Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks. The game will replace UND’s previously scheduled tilt vs. Manitoba.

 

“We look forward to the opportunity to play our Oct. 2 exhibition game against a collegiate Division I opponent before the start of our regular season,” said UND head hockey coach Brad Berry. “I want to thank both administrations for making this happen.”

 

The NCAA Committee for Legislative Relief approved a waiver that allows collegiate hockey programs to schedule exhibitions against one another. The teams will still play their regular season series on Oct. 15 in Bemidji and Oct. 16 in Grand Forks.
