Jeb Williams has been named the new director of the North Dakota Game and Fish Department.

Gov. Doug Burgum says Williams’ appointment takes effect tomorrow (Tue).

Williams has been the department’s Wildlife Division Chief since 2014.

He joined the department in 1999 and has served in several roles, including natural resource technician and biologist…  outreach biologist… and wildlife resource management supervisor.

The Beach (ND) native succeeds Director Terry Steinwand, who retired July 31 after more than 15 years as director and nearly 40 years with the department.
