Gas prices still inching up…for now

By Doug Barrett Aug 18, 2021 | 7:51 AM

The average U.S. price of regular-grade gasoline jumped 3 cents over the past three weeks to $3.25 per gallon.  Industry analyst Trilby Lundberg of the Lundberg Survey says gas prices could stop climbing now that crude oil costs have started to fall.

The latest Triple-A Fuel Survey puts the North Dakota average at $3.13.  That’s $1.04 higher than one year ago.  Prices in the Red River Valley tend to be lower than the western half of the state.

Minnesota’s average is around $3.04 a gallon.
