The Beyond the Call of Duty program rolled into Grand Forks this afternoon to honor Grand Forks Police Officer Cody Holte. The End Of Watch Ride to Remember is a group of motorcycle riders from the state of Washington that travels the country to honor fallen officers from the prior year. Holte was killed in an exchange of gunfire in a south side Grand Forks apartment in 2020.
Founder Jagrut Shah was a deputy sheriff for 27 years.
Shah says unfortunately they have plenty of stops to make. This year the group will travel 22,300 miles and honor 338 officers who died in the line of duty.
Pictures of the fallen officers are displayed on the side of a trailer that is 41 feet long. The display was set up outside the Ralph Englestad Arena.
