Testimony from law enforcement officials continued today (Fri) in a quadruple murder trial in Mandan.
Forty-seven-year-old Chad Isaak is accused of killing the co-owner and three employees of a Mandan property management firm in 2019.
Arnie Rummel, a supervisory special agent with North Dakota’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation, testified that he did not find a motive for the killings.
But Rummel said he is “absolutely” confident that the correct suspect was found.
Rummel said authorities do not always find a motive…adding that “some people just kill for fun.”
BCI agents also said a search of Isaak’s residence discovered a long knife with a bent tip found in a washing machine with wet clothes… pieces of a firearm were found in a freezer… and a bleach bottle was found in a shower stall.
Isaak faces life in prison without parole.
