
Authorities have identified the pilot who died when his crop-spraying plane crashed Tuesday near Strasburg, North Dakota.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says Michel Gunia of Linton (ND) was 63 years old.
Gunia’s plane severed a high-voltage transmission line and crashed into a field southwest of Strasburg shortly after 7:30 AM.
Gunia was pronounced dead at the scene.
The plane was a 1975 single-engine Rockwell International S-2-R.
The crash is being investigated by the Highway Patrol, FAA and Emmons County Sheriff’s office.
