Pilot of small plane killed in North Dakota crash

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash of a small airplane in south central North Dakota around 7:40 this morning (Tuesday).  The NTSB says the Rockwell International S-2R plane went down near the Emmons County community of Strasburg killing the pilot.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol says a Western Area Power Administration transmission line was severed.  The name of the pilot has not been released.

The aircraft type is a single-engine, fixed wing plane.
