Man accused of fatally stabbing wife taken into custody (Update)

Update 1:00 PM:

An Oklee (MN) man wanted in connection with the July 9th murder of his wife has been apprehended.

Forty-four-year-old Eric Reinbold was arrested without incident this (Wed) morning about four miles northeast of Oklee.

According to the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office… shortly after 9:30 PM Tuesday… agents were alerted to movement in front of a trail camera set up in a wooded area off County Road 1, not far from the property of Reinbold’s parents.

Authorities converged on the area…and found Reinbold hiding in the woods near an abandoned homestead. He was arrested shortly after 12:30 AM.

Reinbold is in custody in the Pennington County jail. A bail hearing is set for Friday.

Reinbold is accused in the stabbing death of his wife Lissette. He was also being sought by U-S Marshals for violating terms of his release from prison.

A federal jury in in 2018 found Reinbold guilty of possessing pipe bombs at his cabin near Oklee.  He was sentenced to five years in prison.

A manhunt in northwest Minnesota has ended.

The Red Lake County Sheriff’s Department says the suspect sought for the murder of his wife has been captured.

44-year-old Eric Reinbold was arrested without incident at 12:30 this morning on a wooded rural property north of Oklee.  Reinbold is being held in the Pennington County Jail in Thief River Falls.  A statement from the department says multiple agencies were involved.

Reinbold is accused of stabbing his wife to death on July 9th.  Lissette Reinbold suffered stab wounds to her neck…torso…and upper extremities.  She was found by her children lying in the driveway of her home.

A ten-thousand-dollar reward was being offered for his arrest.
