Grand Forks health officials have scheduled ten Mobile Vaccination Clinics this week – including stops in Manvel and Thompson. The outreach comes as Grand Forks County has posted back to back days with zero new cases of COVID-19.
The department’s Haley Bruhn says the mobile sites allow the department to jab arms that otherwise might not be reached in a traditional setting – like a clinic or pharmacy.
Bruhn says the success of each clinic varies from site to site. “This week at the races we did 10-11 people and at the Farmers Market we did 17. It’s usually between 5 and 30 as we try to go out with this new strategy.”
The mobile clinics will offer one-dose J & J shots. Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be available for individuals needing to complete their two-dose series…those ages 12-17…or if requested.
