
Authorities in Fargo are investigating a fire that destroyed an unoccupied home early this morning. Crews were called out shortly after midnight on a report of a grass fire. When crews arrived they found the structure engulfed in flames. The house was previously used for SWAT training and was scheduled to be demolished. Both gas and electric had previously been turned off. Although the house was unoccupied first arriving crews found the garage door partially open.

The Fargo Fire Department says a rash of dumpster fires last night (Tuesday) appear suspicious in nature. The first report came in shortly before 11:00 p.m. As crews doused the flames three additional dumpster fires were called in. Authorities say in all cases the damage was limited to the containers. The Fargo Police Department is assisting in the investigation.

Fire officials in Fargo have determined the blaze that heavily damaged a strip mall last month was intentionally set. The blaze burned through the roof of two businesses and caused heavy water elsewhere. The three-alarm fire broke out May 11th at Bodyworks Physical Therapy and spread to Gigi’s Playhouse which serves individuals with Down syndrome. Damage was pegged at over one-million dollars.
