Dashboard changes: New (top) Old (bottom)
After bouncing between “yellow” and “green” on the Grand Forks dashboard for COVID-19 health officials are tweaking the metrics to better reflect virus activity in the community.
The health department’s Michael Dulitz says starting today (Tuesday) three major changes have been implemented in calculating the guidance: adding vaccination rates…increasing the size of the “red” category…and changing category weights.
“We put a lot more emphasis on hospital capacity being 40% of the score along with new case rate because both would be drivers of potential problems in the community.”
Grand Forks is currently in the “green” or low risk for coronavirus.
The North Dakota Health Department confirmed eight new cases of the virus in the latest daily report for Grand Forks County. There are now 40 active local cases. There were 79 new positive hits statewide.
