Charges filed against driver in Devils Lake injury accident

A three vehicle crash in Devils Lake on Sunday sent one driver to the hospital with serious injuries.  According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol 28-year old Tanner Mitchell of Fargo ran a red light and crashed into a vehicle driven by 63-year old Paul Tronson of Doyan (ND).  The accident occurred at the intersection of Highway 2 and 20 shortly after 11:00 a.m.  A 63-year old passenger in the Tronson vehicle was not injured.

After the impact Mitchell’s driver side wheel flew off striking a small SUV driven by 84-year old Earl Pelton of Dickinson.  Pelton and an 80-year old passenger were not injured.

Mitchell faces charges arrested of DUI…DUS…Reckless Driving…and was cited for driving through a red light.
