EGF closer to prioritizing road construction projects

By Doug Barrett Apr 14, 2021 | 7:58 AM

The great debate over what East Grand Forks road project to target federal funding on could come into focus next week.

The 2022 dollars are designed for state aid street improvements – and there are two projects on the books.  The council will need to decide whether to designate the Bygland Road roundabout…or the 10th Street Northeast reconstruction… as the top project of choice.

The city is expected to receive $860,000 dollars.  The cost of the road construction ranges from $1.6 million to nearly $2.29 million dollars.

The council agreed last night to take a vote on the two projects next Tuesday.
