Positive cases of COVID-19 have had a negative impact on scheduling of UND and NDSU football games this weekend.

UND was forced to postpone its date with Youngstown State until April 17th.

Officials canceled today’s football game between North Dakota State University and the University of South Dakota after a positive COVID-19 test among North Dakota State’s staff and athletes.  The Missouri Valley Football Conference indicated the game would not be rescheduled.  UND and NDSU last played in Fargo on March 20th.

The North Dakota Health Department reported 161 new cases of the virus today.  The daily report listed 10 positive hits in Grand Forks County and 91 in Cass County.  The daily positivity rate for the state is 5.38%.  There are 981 active cases statewide – including 103 in Grand Forks County.
