Suspect arrested for trying to flee GFPD

Charges have been filed against a 30-year old Grand Forks man after he attempted to flee police during a traffic stop last night (Thursday).

Authorities say they were investigating a stolen vehicle complaint and pulled the driver over in a parking lot off South 20^th Street around 6:15 p.m.   According to the GFPD the suspect briefly stopped and then sped away.

While attempting to flee police the driver struck a vehicle at 24^th and South Washington.  Officers eventually used a PIT maneuver to stop the suspect on the 27-hundred block of 24^th Avenue South.

Authorities says Brice Gamboa faces charges of possession of stolen property… reckless endangerment…reckless driving…and possession of drug paraphernalia.  No one was injured during the incident.
