An early morning fire damaged a home in south Grand Forks. The Grand Forks Fire Department was notified of a structure fire at 5680 East Prairiewood Drive around 2:00 a.m. When crews arrived on scene they found smoke coming from a two story home. Firefighters extinguished the flames in an attached garage. The bulk of the damage was to the garage area. Damage was pegged at around $50,000. No one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
