Less than 24 hours after dropping into the low risk or “green” category for coronavirus – Grand Forks is back into the “yellow” or moderate risk.
The local health dashboard was adjusted today (Friday) after 15 new cases of COVID-19 were identified in Grand Forks County. That was enough to push the new cases per 100,000 upward – which accounts for 40% of dashboard score.
On Saturday Grand Forks Public Health will administer COVID-19 vaccines to 1,200 county residents at the Alerus Center.
Original story:
Despite finding twelve new cases of COVID-19 in Grand Forks County today (Thursday) the local health dashboard has slipped from yellow to green. The “low” risk reading lists only one of five major metrics in the “moderate” risk category. The only metric still in “yellow” is new cases per 100,000 population. Average positives over seven days…new cases…testing…and hospital capacity are all “green”. It’s the first time the risk meter has been in green since August 9th.
