A 70-year old truck driver from Manitoba suffered serious injuries after running the vehicle off Highway 3 south of Dunseith (ND) early Thursday morning.
The North Dakota Patrol says the Mack Truck vaulted off an approach and came to rest in the ditch. Two passing motorists stopped to offer assistance. With the drivers outside their vehicles a third car crashed into the back of one the parked pick-ups sending it into the other stopped car on the side of the road.
Authorities say the truck driver was transported to a medical center in Rugby. The driver of the striking car was transported with minor injuries to a medical center in Rolla. The accident remains under investigation.
