The East Grand Forks School Board made some minor tweaks to meeting schedules and salary during Monday’s organization meeting.
Brandon Boespflug was re-elected chair of the board and Matt Foss as vice-chair. Members also agreed to scale back the number of meetings held each year from two a month to one per month – with the option of a work session – if needed. The regular meeting of the school board will fall on the second Monday of each month.
The board also agreed to give themselves a $1,000 dollar a year pay bump. Members cited the increasing number of committee assignments and the compensation of neighboring districts in support of the motion. The current board pay is $300/month.
