WF officer off ventilator, breathing on his own

West Fargo Police Officer Tim Brown remains in stable but critical condition at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

Police say, as of this (Wed) morning, Brown is off the ventilator and breathing on his own. He is able to talk with family and interact with the medical staff.

Brown suffered a heart attack Sunday morning while booking two women into jail. He was flown to Omaha on Sunday afternoon for specialized care.

Brown is 29 years old. He is married with two children.

Officer Brown remains in stable, but critical, condition at the Nebraska Medical Center. As of this morning, Officer Brown has been taken off of the ventilator and is breathing on his own. He is able to talk with family and interact with the medical staff.
A letter of appreciation was received from Officer Brown’s family for the outpouring of encouragement from the police community including West Fargo Chief Otterness, Fargo Police Department Chief Zibolski, Cass County Sheriff’s Office – Fargo, ND Sheriff Jahner, Cass County Jail staff, and chaplains. Their deepest gratitude goes out to all who continue to support the family throughout this devastating event.
A GoFundMe has been set up by the West Fargo Police Association to raise funds for Officer Tim Brown and his family. The fundraiser is available at http://ow.ly/M3PW50GFn5F. To assist with medical expenses, an account has also been set up at Bell Bank in Officer Tim Brown’s name.
Updates will continue to be shared, when available, on the West Fargo Police Department social media pages. The West Fargo Police Department wants to express their gratitude to all who have supported Officer Brown, and the department, as he continues to fight towards recovery.
