(KNOX) – The Fargo Liquor Control Board has passed a motion that is being considered the first step in what would allow airport passengers at Hector International Airport to carry their drinks beyond the bar and into the airport concourse.
Fargo Municipal Airport Authority Representative Stacy Bossert says the authority wants alcohol to be bought from their concessionaire, Sky Dine. She also says that Sky Dine currently has a Class A license which only allows customers to purchase and drink alcohol at a bar and nowhere else in the airport.
Sky Dine has been operating at Hector International Airport since January 2011. The company also has similar licenses in Illinois, Indiana, and Colorado.
The next step in this process is for the Fargo City Commission to direct the city attorney and city auditors to acquire a new Class A license. There is no timeline for when the City Commission to try to get the new license.
