Red River Explodes for Win over North

(KNOX) – A seven-goal second period sprinted Red River past Fargo North 12-1 at Blue Line Iceplex Tuesday night.

Blaise Neubert and Griffin Haagenson combined for 10 points, a goal for Haagenson and nine total assists, in the effort.

The Riders scored three times in the first 3:44 of the first, and three more times in the first 4:06 of the second to erase any doubt.  By that time, Haagenson had four points, including his goal, Mason Brenno had a hat-trick, and Kale Gruenberg had a goal and two assists.

Caden Ulmer recorded a hat-trick by the end of the second.  Stetson Brown, Cullen Rost, Chase Kalka, and Parker Rost also scored individual goals.

Red River is now tied for third place in the Eastern Dakota Conference standings, a game out of first place.
