(KNOX) – The Red River Roughriders improved to 2-1, and earned their first Eastern Dakota Conference contest of the season with a 3-0 win over Fargo North Tuesday night at Cushman Field.
Logan Lambl had a goal disallowed eary, due to an offsides call, but scored the first goal of the night in the 15th minute.
Brody Andrade and Henry Haug, who recorded an assist on Lambl’s goal, added tallies in the second half in the 63rd and 70th minute, respectively.
Riders goalkeeper Rylan Holt added two key saves late, including on a North free kick deep in the Roughrider end of the field, to defend the lead.
The Riders host West Fargo Thursday night. The Packers are picked as one of the top teams in the EDC this season.
