Office space for Sheriff Andy

(KNOX) – Three contractors will be invited to make one-hour presentations to the Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Office Committee.
The committee met Friday morning to review seven bids from six contractors. Two failed to comply with bid specifics and a third didn’t put in the time and effort with their bid.
That left four, two from Dakota Commercial plus one each from Community Contractors and Heartland Acres.
Two propose to locate a new Sheriff’s Office on Gateway Drive. Heartland Acres proposes to move into office space off of 32nd Avenue South west of Interstate 29. Dakota Commercial’s second proposal would move the Sheriff’s Office into a 50-year-old building on 27th Avenue North.
The three contractors will make presentations in mid-October. The earliest recommendation from the committee may not come until after the November election.
