Memorial One in Grand Forks Complete

(KNOX) -The first phase of Memorial Village in Grand Forks is finished and has tenants.

“Memorial Village One is complete, and the city council did approve a 90 percent, 20-year tax exemption on that, and that helped UND move their athletic offices into the first floor,” Grand Forks City Administrator Todd Feland said.

Grand Forks City Council has done a lot to help Memorial Village One come into existence.

“The other thing that the city did with Memorial Village, we helped a lot with infrastructure. So, again, without the City of Grand Forks we wouldn’t be seeing Memorial Village One,” Feland said.

Now that Memorial Village One is finished, Memorial Village II is under construction. Feland said that the City of Grand Forks will be doing some work on that project as well.

“We anticipate in and around there that we will be doing some infrastructure improvements to include University Avenue and Second Avenue. That will enhance that entire area along UND,” Feland said.

Memorial One is on the UND Campus on Columbia Road North just after the overpass.
