Grand Forks City Offices Closed Labor Day

(KNOX) – Most city offices will be closed on Monday, September 2, 2024 in observance of Labor Day.  Regular City business will not be conducted on that day.  However, emergency police and fire services will continue to operate as scheduled.

All Cities Area Transit (CAT) buses including the Night bus, Senior Rider and Dial-A-Ride will not be running on Labor Day, but will resume regular routes on Tuesday, September 3rd.

City services such as refuse collection will not take place on Monday.  Regular Monday pickup for the “A” route will take place on Tuesday, September 3rd, and Monday’s “B” route pickup will be on Wednesday, September 4th, along with regularly scheduled routes.

Recycling pickup scheduled for next week will be pushed back one day later than normally scheduled throughout the week, because of the holiday.  For example, Monday’s recycling pickup will take place on Tuesday – Tuesday’s pickup will take place on Wednesday, etc.  The week will end with Friday’s recycling picked up on Saturday.

The Grand Forks City Council meeting normally scheduled for Monday, September 2nd will be held on Tuesday, September 3rd at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers in City Hall.
