More flights in 2025 for Grand Forks International Airport

(KNOX) – Grand Forks International Airport is anticipating more passenger boardings in 2025.
The airport has been told that Allegiant Airlines will add eight flights from Grand Forks to Mesa, Arizona… and seven flights from Grand Forks to Orlando… from February through May of 2025. Allegiant may use the new Boeing 737-800 for some of those flights.
Delta Airlines will offer an additional flight, starting in July 2025. Ryan Riesinger, executive director of the Airport Authority, says based on past experience, Delta will follow through.

The Grand Forks Airport Authority passed its 2025 budget and Capital Improvement Project list Thursday morning.
Operating revenue comes in $700,000 less because the City of Grand Forks and Grand Forks County cut the number of airport mills from 4 to 2.
Airport Commissioner Karl Bollingberg says getting those mills back will be hard. He says if it’s interpreted that the city and county do not support the airport, federal money may decrease.
Grand Forks Mayor Brandon Bochenski replied that the mill reduction is justified to provide value to property taxpayers. He says the immediate solution is to sell more seats on flights into and out of GFK.
Airport executive Ryan Riesinger plans to ask the Legislature for $120 million to cover construction of the airport’s primary runway, plus improvements to airports in Dickinson and Fargo. He says a lot is riding on the property tax measure in the November election.
“It’s not time to spike the football yet,” Riesinger said.
