Lots of road construction in south Grand Forks

(KNOX) – 40th Ave. South will be closed from Cherry Street to Belmont Road starting Monday for a complete reconstruction. Detour signs will be posted.
The intersection of 40th Avenue South and Cherry Street will reopen to traffic for north/south and west bound traffic by the end of this week. This intersection has been closed since May 20th for reconstruction.
The reconstruction of 40th Avenue South is expected to be complete by the end of October, weather permitting.
Starting Monday evening, crews will work overnight on the on and off ramps at 1-29 and the intersections of S. 38th St. and S. 31st St.
The traffic on S. 38th St. and S. 31st St. will not be able to cross 32nd Ave. S. during the overnight work. Crews will reopen traffic on S. 38th St. and S. 31st St. during the day but will close again during the evenings.

South Washington Street will be closed at the Ssouthend drain way just south of 47th Avenue South starting on Monday, July 8. Crews will be installing a new box culvert at the drain way. Detour signs will be posted.
The closure will be in place until mid-August, weather permitting.
