(KNOX) -The City of Grand Forks has hired a Denver based firm to work on its five strategic plan.
Frankie Lewington is an associate with Root Policy Research and said that the plan will look at the needs of Grand Forks. “Community centers, or parks, or senior centers, feedback on that. Or if there are other public services that are needed or community services that are need, in your opinion in Grand Forks,” said Lewington.

The proposal is called the Consolidated Plan.

Lucy McGehee is an associate of Root Policy. “I’ve been helping with the data analyst and some of the community engagement work that we’ve have done for Grand Forks consolidated plan so far,” McGehee said.

The strategy is to look at what is needed for the community of the City of Grand Forks.

The goal of the effort is to find ways for the city to carry out those proposals that come from research and public input gone into the plan.
