EGF Council clears the way for Cats Incredible

(KNOX) – Tuesday morning’s heavy rain had water seeping through the roof construction at East Grand Forks City Hall. Water loudly dripped during the Water, Light, Power and Building Commission in the morning, but slowed considerably for the East Grand Forks City Council meeting.
The Council approved a couple of recreation events: the Cats Incredible Fishing Tournament July 26-28…and the temporary installation of pickleball court in the park behind the Veterans Memorial.
East Grand Forks Mayor Steve Gander says the summer is getting busy for Parks and Recreation. Come fall two ice arenas and two ball diamonds will be upgraded.

The council also extended the contract five years with Countrywide Sanitation Company for refuse and recycling collection. The council approved the agreement with Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway for construction at the Central Avenue Crossing.
The East Grand Forks City Council will reconvene July 2.
